This immersive installation uses a projection of multilayered, semi-translucent fabric screens, each capturing fragments of the city and passing them forward to the next layer. The overlapping surfaces create distortions, multiplying and refracting the urban image into a shifting, dreamlike cityscape. Accompanied by a soundscape of the city, the installation builds a sensory experience that asks the viewer to reflect on the layered, complex nature of urban life.

What are the questions we are not asking about the future? Social change must begin from the place of observation. There are daunting civic, environmental, and political challenges in front of us. The goal of this exhibition is to analyze the status quo, drawing attention to the invisible. Examining the current urban fabric of SF and reflecting allows us to forge ahead with new ways of thinking.
